Head Office Operation

Head Office is situated on the First Floor, Wamp Nga Haus, Mount Hagen.  The Office is staffed by twenty two employees and consists of the following departments; Debtors, Creditors, Pay Office, Reception, Training the Personnel, Credit Control and E.D.P. Head Office provides computer network management and support for all operating divisions within the Group.  In the near future, the company is working on a project to link all with Novell InterNetwork setup in the Highlands. 

Wamp Nga uses the ACCPAC Accounting System, both at Head Office and most of the ‘point of sale’ outlets. The Head Office system runs Trade Debtors, Trade Creditors, Fixed Assets, Cash Book and General Ledger systems all integrated. It produces the monthly Profit and Loss Reports by cost centre and a consolidated one as well. It also produces a Balance Sheet and various other analytical reports for management purposes. 

The outlets that use ACCPAC basically run the inventory system, where point of sale invoicing is done and item valuation reports for stock control purposes.

We are in the process of transferring the debtors functions to the locations with a view to improving reporting and debt collection. We envisage connecting the locations onto Head Office ACCPAC within the next couple of years to eradicate duplication of work.
